28/11/18 - 1 star due to the extremely unfriendly attitude of the receptionist. I see there was also a one star review left by a lady 3 weeks ago and after my experience this morning Im not surprised. I left Nowra at 6.45 this morning in horrid weather to do a second medical at Sonic (8.40) that was not done properly the first time at another location 12 months ago. Im a full time employee (10 yrs) with a company in NW WA. I had volunteered to do this medical in my own time so I could hit the ground running upon my return to work next week - failing to volunteer would have rendered me useless for about 3-4 days upon returning to work, an option many would have taken, especially given the weather we work in can reach 45+. My company did give me the option to do my medical when I returned but as mentioned that would have been bad for business. Sonic health explained to me at about 9.30 the only appointment for the physio part of the medical was unfortunately at 12.30. Both the receptionist and the doctor at Sonic Health both told me to head up early though as there is always a good chance I will get in early. So after my medical was completed with Sonic at about 1015 I walked up to Illawarra Physiotherapy in the pouring rain - yep the day Sydney was hit with the low pressure system. I walked in at about 1025 with a smile only to be greeted by the receptionist looking at me like I was some sort of ghost - literally I was standing there holding out an envelope from Sonic with her just looking at me. No hello, no hi how are you, no can I help you, none of the normal greetings one would expect after walking in to a business from horrid weather. The receptionist eventually took the envelope and told me shell be with me shortly. Her facial expressions told me I was unwanted and I basically felt like an intruder and very uncomfortable. After a few minutes she asked me do you know your booking is for 1230? She then proceeded to tell me the physiotherapists appointments in a tone that basically said I had no hope of an early appointment......she explained he was already with a patient (I could see that), then there was a private 1030 1hr booking followed by another private 1 hr booking at 1130. Ooookay - 10 minutes later at about 1035 the lovely physiotherapist, Mr Beraldo Lilli greeted me and took me straight in. At 1055 my physio test was done and I was on my way. Given my early start and the terrible weather I was really appreciative of the physiotherapist seeing me early. Upon leaving the receptionist was talking to a younger girl and waved at me with her hand meaning to say thats it, your dismissed so I walked out. I will say the physiotherapist Mr Beraldo Lilli is a lovely lovely man, and I rate him 5 stars, its such a shame though his clientele have to deal with a receptionist thats as friendly as a rattlesnake. Theres hundreds of locals absolutely screaming for work that would love a job like this, that would greet clientelle in a professional manner irrespective of whether someone enquires about something (Shirley McKenzie), or is early for an appointment. Perhaps its time to look for a receptionist who would not only thrive in a people environment, but who would also appreciate the work. Perhaps shes annoyed at the extra work Sonic gives the business, I will be providing feedback to both Sonic and the company I work for regarding my experience with this receptionist. This receptionist could learn a lot from our 7 and 12 yr old girls. My wife and I tell them everyday to live by the rule treat people how you would like to be treated. Oh how the world would be a much better place. As mentioned Ill rate the physiotherapist 5 star, a lovely courteous gentleman.
I have recieved treatment from both physiotherapists at this practice for both my spine and a knee condition. I have been very happy with the care I received. I have found the staff accommodating and helpful. I have also recommended family and friends and will continue to do so.
This one star is for the poor service of the receptionist- terrible attitude, unfriendly, poor customer service. When I tried to clarify something about payment, she was very impatient by raising her voice, giving me annoying look. I will never go there again because of her.
Went there 2 years ago excellent treatment and great staff could not complain I am going back to them they did a lot for me then to get me back on my feet
